The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is finally coming to an end, so we take a look back at some of the fun, silly moments from the tournament.
Argentina and France are about to face off on the world’s biggest stage as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar comes to a close. There have been upsets and several inspiring moments by the world’s best players.
The tournament started with a shock upset by Saudi Arabia over Argentina. But Lionel Messi has since taken his team to the final. Morocco made its best run ever, becoming the first African team to make it to a World Cup semifinal while simultaneously ending Cristiano Ronaldo’s time in the World Cup. The Netherlands made an incredible comeback against Argentina, down by two to tie it 2-2 with eight minutes left, and Wout Weghorst scored the free kick to equalize it in the 101st minute.
There were so many memorable and beautiful moments, but what we want to look at as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar comes to an end, are some of the lighter moments in the tournament, from fans taunting “missing” players to unexpected interruptions during interviews.
