The German national team begins a new era on American soil. After the departure of Hansi Flick following a series of poor results, the Julian Nagelsmann era begins with the new coach set to oversee a side that combines proven veterans with young talent in a team with enormous potential.

The young Bavarian coach has opted for a policy of continuity as he calls up a large part of the squad who were involved in the September international window for Die Mannschaft.

With Germany hosting Euro 2024, they team are involved in a series of friendly games during the FIFA breaks and after poor showings in recent competitions, Nagelsmann will have his sights set high on performing well at the European Championship on home soil along with the 2026 World Cup, where Germany will start as one of the favourites nations.

A solid defense

The German rearguard blends experience and youth starting with one of the best keepers in the game with FC Barcelona stopper Ter Stegen. Hummels, Süle, Tah and Rüdiger are some of the most reliable defenders around and all are having solid campaigns with their respective domestic clubs.

A midfield to dominate

Without a doubt this is the most dangerous and stirring area of the team. Both in the engine room and in the decisive zone, the German national team has players who are exciting and pacy such as Musiala, Wirtz or Kimmich but can also call upon the likes of creative veterans in the likes of Gündogan, Goretzka or Brandt.

A lightning attack

The one area of the German side that could do with a boost in talent with agile and mobile players like Sané or Havertz also complemented with more experienced veterans such as Müller or Füllkrug.
