This is how much Cruz Azul will have to pay to sign Necaxa star
Due to La Máquina’s interest in the player, Necaxa have decided to tie him down to a multi-million dollar release clause.
One of Cruz Azul’s transfer targets ahead of the Apertura 2025 tournament is José Paradela, who was a key figure for Necaxa under the management of Nicolás Larcamón.
Having seen Paradela impress during the Clausura 2025, the coach is keen to take the midfielder with him to Cruz Azul after being chosen as Los Celestes’ new boss.
Larcamón replaces Sánchez at Cruz Azul
Despite leading Los Celestes to victory in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, Vicente Sánchez has been relieved of his duties as Cruz Azul’s head coach, with Larcamón the man picked to take over. This decision was confirmed by Víctor Velázquez at a club event this week.
Since Paradela is still under contract with Necaxa, the only way he can join Cruz Azul is if the nine-time Mexican champions pay his release clause.
Indeed, Necaxa’s sporting director, José Hanan, has revealed that the club has tied the player down to an increased buyout fee due to the interest he is attracting.
“Several offers have come in”
“We understand that players will receive offers, and when you have a tournament like we did and the players achieve the level of individual performance that José did, it is very likely that many offers will come,” Hanan said.
“Several offers have come in, and have been rejected. The club’s stance is that he is integral to our plans […] and he will only leave if his release clause is paid.
“Interested clubs that have inquired about his situation already know this. If they come and pay the clause, there is not much more we can do as a club, but that is the stance.”
How much is Paradela’s buyout fee?
Paradela’s release clause has risen to a figure in excess of $10 million, according to the Mexican media outlet Milenio.
