Tickets for Pumas-Chivas playoff clash sell out in two hours
Pumas fans have snapped up all 55,000 tickets for the return leg quarter final clash against Veljko Paunovic’s Chivas side.
Just two hours after the online ticket sales platform opened for business, the Ticketmaster portal advised users that no tickets were left for Sunday’s return leg at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario for the Liga MX 2023 Apertura return leg clash between Pumas and Chivas Guadalajara.
Tickets initially went on sale to Banca Mifel card holders (one of the club’s principal sponsors) on Tuesday with general public tickets released on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am (local time) and by midday the game was a sell-out.
The last time Pumas sold out the Universitario was ironically against Chivas in the final matchday of the regular season when a Gabriel Fernandez goal in the 11th minute gave the CDMX side a narrow win.
The first of the two legged ties takes place on Thursday at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara ahead of the second and decisive game in Mexico City on Sunday.
