Tigres lead the way as best supported team in Liga MX 2023 Apertura to date
The side from San Nicolás de los Garza have played six home games at El Volcan with an average crowd of more than 40,000 fans.
The North of Mexico is the current hotbed of Liga MX when it comes to match going supporters as Nuevo León duo of Tigres UANL and Monterrey boast the highest average attendances for the current 2023 Apertura season to date.
The university side lead the way with an average of 40,228 fans per match at their “El Volcán” stadium with a total of 241,000 fans watching Tigres at home in the six matches they have played at their stadium.
Robert Siboldi’s men are unbeaten at home having won four and tied two of the home games with his Tigres side currently second in the overall standings, trailing Club América by five points.
Rayados are in second place with a per-game average of 39,299 fans and a total of 157,196 supporters that have attended the Estadio BBVA in the four home games they have played this season.
Monterrey have won three out of their four home fixtures and despite languishing in eight place in the table, Fernando Ortiz’s men have two games in hand.
Club America complete the podium with the Aguilas having played eight home games at home in the 2023 Apertura, averaging 33,521 supporters per game and a cumulative total of 268,168 watching Ame’ games at the Estadio Azteca during the season.
