Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga is set to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli in a sensational turn of events, and Toni Kroos has had his say.

In what may be one of the most surprising signings in the entire transfer market. Gabri Veiga is very close to leaving Celta to leave for Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli. The bombshell exploded last night, when Fabrizio Romano reported that the player has accepted the million-dollar offer from Saudi football (the exact figures are not yet known) and that Celta have also accepted the buyout clause money to let their player go.

Toni Kroos calls Veiga move ‘shameful

This news didn’t take long to be get a reaction. Real Madrid player, Toni Kroos, did not hesitate to react to the signing and replied to the post on Instagram with a brief message: “shameful”.

The German seemingly can’t believe that a player as young and talented as Gabri Veiga has ended up leaving for Saudi Arabia at just 21 years old, after having an agreement practically sealed with Napoli.

Curoiusly Real Madrid visit Celta on Friday, so Kroos could indeed come face to face with the player who was on the wish lists of teams like Real Madrid, Barça, United, PSG and Chelsea.

His departure to Arabia is all but confirmed, as said by his still coach, Rafa Benítez, at a press conference: “It is a situation that changes the life of him and his family for the better. It is painful for the club, but it could be a very beneficial operation in the medium/long term”. One of the most promising players in Spanish soccer has decided to change the elite of European football for Arabia.
