UEFA lower ticket prices for 2022 Champions League final
Time is ticking down to the showpiece final of the biggest competition in club football, and UEFA have made things easier for some fans.

As any well travelled football fan knows, it’s not a common occurrence to see ticket prices come down. But for the 2022 Champions League final, discounts are indeed being introduced by the continental governing body.

Ticket price change for UCL final
The semi-finalists of this year’s edition - Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Villarreal - made a request to UEFA, asking of a change to the ticket allocation system. This was approved and will see category 3 and 4 tickets for supporters of the two finalists discounted for the big match in Paris on 28 May.
This change means that the discount is applied instead of offering 5,000 free tickets per club, and represents the same overall total financial value and will be fully funded by UEFA. This means that 15,600 fans of each team will now benefit, with category 4 tickets priced at €60 instead of €70, and category 3 tickets at €150 instead of €180.
Good stuff from @josephmdurso here - and makes me hope UEFA's idea for 'final four', ie no home and away semi-finals, does not go ahead... https://t.co/sVD3iRQkzV

UEFA have stated that the plans for free tickets for fans of the finalist teams in the Europa League, the Europa Conference League and the Women’s Champions League remain unchanged.
