USA vs Wales: times, how to watch on TV

Many soccer fans believe England will end up topping World Cup’s Group B, while the USMNT, Wales, and Iran will battle it out to get the second ticket to the round of 16 of the competition.

Iran has been tipped as a possible darkhorse by some experts, but the USA and Wales are the favorites to advance to the next round together with the Three Lions.

Gregg Berhalter’s men seem ready for the challenge, as the World Cup represents a unique opportunity for American soccer to shine.

USA vs Wales odds

In the World Cup, those teams who are not considered to excel in their groups or are not the favorites to finish in the first place, need to take every single game as a final if they want to stand a chance of progressing.

The US and Wales are probably the teams with the most possibilities of getting the other spot for the knockout stages and they will clash in their first game of the competition, which means the outcome of the match could prove decisive at the end of the group stage for Group B.

A draw would be a good result for both squads, but a win would see the victor put one foot in the round of 16 already.

The Americans are the slight favorites at 6/4 (2.50) with bet365 to claim a win, while Wales can be backed at 21/10 (3.10) with the draw offered at 2/1 (3.00).

USA vs Wales prediction

Both teams are well aware of the importance of the clash and will likely play in a conservative way at the beginning of the match.

The main strength for Berhalter’s team comes in the attacking third, with Timothy Weah, Gio Reyna and Jesus Ferreira are all staking a claim to start in attack alongside Christian Pulisic.

As for Wales, star player Gareth Bale recently said he’s ready to play 90 minutes in all three of Wales’s group games, despite him having played very just a few minutes since joining LAFC in MLS this year.

The USMNT have had goalscoring trouble over the past few months, but Wales have kept just a single clean sheet dating back to March.

Prediction: USA 1-1 Wales
