USMNT receive huge boost ahead of World Cup
Tyler Adams returns for Bournemouth to face Arsenal, which is good news for the USMNT.

USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams is set to be available to AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola after finally overcoming a quadriceps injury, providing a huge boost to the USMNT’s hopes at the upcoming World Cup.
Since moving to the Premier League, first with Leeds and then to Bournemouth, Adams has struggled to keep fit and play consistent minutes across a full season.
The 27-year-old was absent for two months after tearing the medial collateral ligament in his left knee attempting to block a shot in Bournemouth’s draw with Manchester United back in December.

“I am feeling strong and ready to go”
Speaking to club media, Adams said “I am feeling strong and ready to go,” adding that his recovery on England’s south coast “gave me a period of time to get stronger, get more fit and focus on the objectives with the boys here.”
“I’m feeling consistent, I’m feeling strong now and I think it’s just important to finish the season strong,” added Adams.
Up next for AFC Bournemouth is a game against Arsenal, who are leading the way in the Premier League with just 7 games to go. As for The Cherries, they sit in 13th position in the table after an inconsistent yet uneventful season that sees them well clear of relegation but also a long distance off the European spots.
Perhaps the person smiling the broadest at the news of Adams’ return is Mauricio Pochettino, who saw his side struggle in two recent friendly games, against Belgium and Portugal. Despite huge levels of excitement regarding the talent in the US team, they were completely outplayed by their European rivals, losing 2-5 and 0-2 in the recent international break. The return of Adams to his side will undoubtedly provide a more settled and solid defensive balance to the system in place.
Still thinking about this Tyler Adams thunderbastard one year later. Wow
