As some special Real Madrid stars say their goodbyes to the Santiago Bernabéu, new faces are being lined up to continue the legacy of the most successful club in history. As this happens, it’s normal practice that shirt numbers are realigned, giving the current heroes an appropriate level of authority, assuming they don’t have a personal reason for choosing a higher figure.

One such player is Vinicius Jr, the Brazilian having been brought to Europe as a teenager by the club for a hefty transfer fee, belief clear that he was going to play a big part of the future.
