Real Madrid’s Brazilian winger, Vinicius Jr, has signed a new deal with the club until 2027.

The 23-year-old has played for Real Madrid since a move from Flamengo in 2018. He has won 2 LaLiga titles, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 Copa del Rey, 2 Spanish Super Cups, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 2 FIFA Club World Cups.

Vinicius’ new deal runs until 30 June of 2027 and the news was revealed in a statement published by the club. He is expected to be the first of a number of senior team players to renew their deals with Los Blancos.

Vinicius Jr contract details...

“Aged 23, Vini Jr. is already one of Real Madrid’s most influential players of recent years” said the Real Madrid statement, “He scored the goal that clinched the 14th European Cup in the final in Paris in 2022 and was awarded the Golden Ball at the 2022 Club World Cup in Morocco, which Real Madrid won, making it the eighth world trophy in our history.”

While the exact figure is not known, Vinicius has received a salary increase and has also been given a release clause to the tune of €1 billion ($1 billion). The negotiations for the renewal are thought to have started over a year ago and were signed a month ago, with the club waiting for the prime time to announce the agreement.

Camavinga, Rodrygo and Valverde are all expected to renew their current contracts until 2028. Reports suggest that these players will also have the same release clause as Vinicius Jr.
