What is the temperature in Qatar during the FIFA World Cup?

The cool season in Qatar lasts approximately three months, between December and March.

The 2022 World Cup kicked off in Qatar on 20 November and will continue until 18 December.

It is currently the middle of winter in Qatar, however, temperatures in November and December tend to be similar to summer in many other countries around the world. This is the case in Qatar, with temperatures that can exceed 45°C in summer and rarely fall below 10°C in winter.

According to the Weatherspark website, the hot season in Doha lasts about four and a half months, between May and September, and the average daily maximum temperature is more than 38°C. The cool season lasts approximately three months, between December and March, with an average daily maximum temperature below 26°C.

In Qatar, there is hardly any rainfall, which is concentrated between December and April, with an average of 10 mm of rainfall in March. July has an average of 0 mm of rainfall.

Humidity can be quite extreme. The wettest period of the year lasts seven months, between April and November. The months with the lowest humidity are between December and March, which is good news for fans at the 2022 World Cup.

The weather in Doha, Qatar is sunny and warm with maximum temperatures of 32°C at the time of writing (Monday 28 November).
