Update:

Erling Haaland left the pitch at the hour mark of Manchester City’s FA Cup quarter-final against Bournemouth in visible frustration.

He showed clear signs of pain and annoyance after being forced off early due to injury, raising concerns about his condition. The Norwegian striker appeared to be in significant discomfort, clutching his left ankle after a challenge involving Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook. Initial indications suggest a serious ankle sprain, which could sideline him for several weeks.

The injury occurred as Haaland attempted to shake off Cook, but as he fell, his left ankle twisted awkwardly under the defender’s body. His ankle has long been a troublesome area, and despite his efforts to continue, he was forced to exit after receiving medical attention. He was replaced by Marmoush, who ultimately sealed City’s comeback at the Vitality Stadium with a goal.

What injury does Haaland have? How long is he out for?

Haaland had earlier played a crucial role, scoring the equalizer after initially having his penalty saved by Spanish goalkeeper Kepa. While further medical tests are pending, concerns remain over how long he could be sidelined. He was seen leaving the stadium wearing a protective boot.

Manchester City faces Leicester on Wednesday in the Premier League, followed by a highly anticipated Manchester derby at the weekend. With Guardiola already facing challenges, Haaland’s injury adds another complication to City’s campaign.
