What team does David Beckham’s son Romeo play for in England?

The 20-year-old had been in the Arsenal academy alongside his brothers Brooklyn and Cruz.

Romeo Beckham is reportedly set to make his debut for Brentford’s B-team on Saturday.

Beckham was on the books of Inter Miami, the club owned by his father and football legend David Beckham, but has moved to the Premier League side.

Earlier this week, Brentford confirmed that they would be playing League Two outfit Crewe Alexandra in a friendly behind closed doors. As reported by The Mirror, Beckham could feature for the West London club.

Released by Arsenal

The 20-year-old had been in the Arsenal academy alongside his brothers Brooklyn and Cruz, but was let go in 2014. He then returned to football in 2020 and signed a professional contract with Inter Miami in September of the same year.

With Inter Miami’s reserve side, Fort Lauderdale, he featured on 26 occasions, registering three assists and scoring two goals.

“First full season was full of ups and downs,” he recently posted on Instagram.

“Not the ending we as a team wanted but only lessons learned to take into next year. Love this team and the journey we are on.”

Debut versus Barcelona

This summer he made his senior debut in a 6-0 friendly defeat to Barcelona. Inter manager Phil Neville explained the decision to include Romeo and his own son, Harvey Neville, in the squad.

“I think we put the two boys on at wing-back and the first thing you measure is temperament. Have they got the temperament to play in this game? I think both of them did,” former Manchester United and Everton player Neville said.

“I was super proud of them both. Romeo only got on for the last five or six minutes, which is difficult, but they’d earned the right to get on.”
