Real Madrid want Tottenham striker Harry Kane to replace Karim Benzema. As this newspaper has reported, he is Carlo Ancelotti’s preferred option and the Italian campaigned for him in recent meetings with the club’s board.

Cadena SER report that the initial offer from Madrid for Kane will be €80m. The club understands that, given the departure of Benzema, it is time to make an effort for a goalscorer and are willing to present a good offer for the England international. Although this is the first proposal, Madrid are aware of how Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy operates and are prepared for weeks of intense negotiations.

Three-year deal for Kane

Kane would also receive a contract for three seasons (he is 29) and a salary of €11m net per season, the same as he earns at Spurs. The Madrid interest in the striker has been confirmed in England, with Manchester United being the main competition for Los Blancos.
