Uruguayan Andrés Matonte will be the referee for Croatia and Canada’s Group F clash on Sunday, as the Canadians bid to avoid elimination from World Cup 2022.

After a 1-0 defeat to Belgium in their opening game on Wednesday, the Canucks - who are at the tournament for the first time since 1986 - will be knocked out if they lose to the Croats.

2018 runners-up Croatia, who are competing at their third straight World Cup, began their campaign in Qatar with a 0-0 draw against Morocco.
