Vicente García was born in the United States in June 2010, but possesses dual Mexican-American nationality, making him one of the players to watch in the Under-15 category for both national teams.

His outstanding performances and young age have put him in the spotlight of the media in both American and Mexican soccer, where in both cases he is considered one of the great promises for the future.

Vicente García pens homegrown player deal

Although García has a long road ahead of him and there are still many processes he must complete, journalist Tom Bogert revealed that the player has taken another step by signing a new contract with LA Galaxy.

The teenager has trained at the Galacticos' academy, so his signing is considered a 'homegrown deal' training contract and the initial agreement with MLS Next Pro becomes one for the first team.

Under MLS rules, homegrown players must have resided in a club’s home territory and participated in its youth development system for at least one year.

A versatile talent in midfield

Vicente Garcíahas offensive characteristics worthy of highlighting due to his great ability to contribute to the attack. He also has good ball recovery skills which makes him a versatile all-rounder.

In an interview with Fox Mexico at the end of last year, he described himself as player who likes to operate at both ends of the pitch: “I feel like I am a player with a lot of technique, vision. I like to filter a lot of passes to my teammates and I am a box-to-box player.”

Although the youngster is happy to represent Mexico, he also continues to be an important option for the USYNT. The talented youngster is clear that his main objectives are to first stand out in the MLS Next Pro and hopefully earn a place in the LA Galaxy first team during 2025.
