CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Why isn’t Yunus Musah playing for AC Milan?

The USMNT midfielder has become a key player for Stefano Pioli’s side this season, but is absent for the Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

Update:
Yunus Musah out for AC Milan UCL clash

Yunus Musah is unavailable for AC Milan’s crucial Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

The former Valencia midfield was hit with a one-game suspension after picking up three yellow cards in this season’s competition.

Musah, who turns 21 on Wednesday, received his third booking of the group stages in Milan’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on matchday four.

The dynamic midfielder will be a major loss for Stefano Pioli’s side as they take on Borussia Dortmund. After featuring predominantly from the bench at the start of the season, Musah has become a key part of the Milan midfield.

Without Musah, Milan will likely field a midfield trio of Rade Krunic, Tommado Pobega and TIjjani Reijnders.

Will Christian Pulisic play for AC Milan?

Milan will be without Musah but are boosted by the return of Christian Pulisic from injury. The USMNT star missed games at the start of November due to a thigh complaint and did not join up with his national team over the international break.

Pulisic was back in the team for last weekend’s Serie A win over Fiorentina, playing around an hour before being substituted.

The 25-year-old forward has featured in all four of AC Milan’s Champions League games this season but is yet to record a goal or assist. With the team’s continental fate still hanging in the balance, Pioli will hope that the former Chelsea star can inspire the team to victory on Tuesday.

Milan find themselves in this season’s Champions League ‘Group of Death’ alongside PSG, Dortmund and Newcastle United.
