FC Cincinnati’s Brandon Vázquez isn’t expected to stay in the United States for much longer, with a growing number of European clubs showing interest in a player who was one of the revelations of the 2022 MLS season.

Palace, Bournemouth to vie with Everton for Vázquez?

In the wake of reports that relegation-threatened Premier League side Everton are chasing the forward, more clubs from English soccer - and elsewhere in Europe - are being linked with the twice-capped US international.

According to the media outlet 90min, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have joined the race for Vázquez’s signature, while English Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Norwich City and Sheffield United are also listed as potential suitors.

Per Sky Sport Deutschland, meanwhile, Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach are out to sign the 24-year-old, who scored 18 goals for Cincinatti in MLS last year.

Vázquez struggling to replicate scoring form in 2023

Although Cincinnati have made a fine start to the 2023 season, Chris Albright’s men sitting top of the Eastern Conference after four wins and two draws, Vázquez has so far not been as prolific as in 2022.

Of the eight goals that Cincinnati have managed in total this term, the Mexican-American has scored just one - the winner in a 1-0 victory away to Nashville SC at the end of March.
