Update:

With just over a week to go until the big kickoff, the Netherlands headline today’s pre-World Cup action. The Dutchmen face their penultimate tournament tuneup at home to Algeria, a team that’s also gearing up for this summer’s finals in North America.

Meanwhile, as DR Congo prepare for their first World Cup appearance since 1974 - when the African nation competed as Zaire - Les Léopards meet Denmark in a warmup match held in Belgium.

Wednesday’s slate of international friendlies also includes a runout for Italy - the biggest-name absentee from the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The four-time winners, who are missing the event for the third time in a row, visit Luxembourg.
