Update:

Leading up to the 2026 World Cup, it’s been a question of key collaborations for soccer FA’s and leading fashion brands. Levi’s have worked with US Soccer, Drake’s Nocta brand has produced a range for the Canada FA, Mexico have hooked up with artisan brand Someone Somewhere and streetwear brand Palace have produced a series of items with the English FA.

Many heads were turned when it was confirmed that the Argentina Football Federation (AFA) and Adidas were set to launch a nine-piece capsule celebrating the Argentine heritage of Thrasher’s late founder, Fausto Vitello, bridging South American soccer legacy with American skate culture.

Founded in San Francisco in 1981, Thrasher has long operated as the undeniable “bible” of skateboarding and by pairing Thrasher’s gritty, authentic identity with the triumphant iconography of Argentina’s three-time World Cup winning national team, the collection offers a smart collection that has been both critically and commercially acclaimed.

The Thrasher collection

  • The Argentina x Thrasher Jersey (Black/Blue): The absolute centerpiece of the drop, featuring a jacquard diamond pattern inspired by Argentina’s iconic 1994 World Cup away kit, overlaid with the Thrasher flame script across the chest.
  • The Glenburn Skate Shoes (Black/White/Gum): A brand new soccer-inspired indoor skate shoe featuring black leather and suede, sky-blue trim, an embroidered AFA badge on the tongue, and “Thrasher Revista” debossed on the heel.
  • The AFA x Thrasher Hoodie (Black): A classic heavy-weight pullover fleece kitted out with sky-blue Adidas Three Stripes running down the sleeves and co-branded chest embroidery.
  • The AFA x Thrasher Chino Pants (Black): Skate-ready, loose-tapered twill chinos featuring a subtle, embroidered AFA monogram and Thrasher branding.
  • The Mark Gonzales Crewneck Sweatshirt (Black): An elevated crewneck fleece showcasing original collaborative artwork from skateboarding legend and Adidas rider Mark “The Gonz” Gonzales.
  • The Mark Gonzales Ringer Tee (White): A retro-style ringer t-shirt featuring the same custom Mark Gonzales artwork.
  • The Diamond Sun Graphic Tee (White): A classic graphic t-shirt paying homage to Argentina with a custom Thrasher diamond print incorporating the iconic Sol de Mayo (Sun of May) face.
  • The Diamond Sun Graphic Tee (Night Navy): The same Sol de Mayo graphic tee rendered in a dark navy blue colorway.
  • The Reversible Bucket Hat (Navy Blue): A dual-sided, versatile lifestyle hat tailored perfectly for the terraces or the skatepark.

The immediate reaction from fans has seen the entire collection sell out via Adidas España with may sizes already sold out in Adidas US and UK stores.
