This is the teams’ first meeting in nine years: they last faced off in a Confederations Cup clash in June 2017, with the Chileans edging Portugal on penalties.
Portugal, whose World Cup kicks off against DR Congo on June 17, is preparing for its seventh straight appearance at the finals. Chile, meanwhile, failed to qualify for the third World Cup in succession.
