With less than 40 days until World Cup 2026 kicks off, Gio Reyna continues to draw attention, but not only for soccer.
The U.S. international married longtime partner Chloe Ortolano in July 2025 in Tarrytown, New York and, given his growing reputation, interest has grown in who she is.
Tactics and love: Gio and Chloe
Ortolano is far from a newcomer to soccer circles. A former player for the Providence Friars, she built a steady college career between 2019 and 2022, appearing in 74 games. She has played in both midfield and defense, becoming a regular starter.
Her path began earlier in Connecticut, where she starred at Brien McMahon High School. She scored 52 goals, captained the team, and earned All-FCIAC and All-State honors before continuing her development at Connecticut Football Club.
While Reyna’s career has been interrupted by injuries and limited club minutes, his off-field life appears to have maintained its stability. The couple’s relationship dates back several years, culminating in their 2024 engagement and wedding a year later.
As Mauricio Pochettino weighs his options ahead of the World Cup, Reyna remains a unique case due to his talent despite inconsistent playing time at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
