Update:

There are now less than 200 days to go until the start if the 2026 World Cup. For the first time ever in the tournament’s almost 100 years of history, 48 teams will participate at the forthcoming World Cup next summer with the event set to be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.

42 nations have already qualified for the 2026 tournament with six places still up for grabs with four UEFA berths to be filled along with two Intercontinental spots which will be resolved in the March 2026 playoffs.

Earlier in the week. FIFA outlined the details and pots ahead of next Friday’s draw which will be staged on Friday, 5 December, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC.

Next ticket window

Upon the conclusion of the draw and match confirmed match schedule, fans anxious to attend matches in Mexico, Canada and the USA have another opportunity to purchase tickets. The next phase of ticket sales for the World Cup will begin on 11 December and remain open through to January 13 (2026).

This marks the third window of ticket sales for the 2026 tournament, as nearly two million tickets have been made available and purchased for the event so far across the Visa Presale Draw and the Early Ticket Draw, which closed earlier this month.

Tickets will be available via FIFA.com/tickets.
