Incredible drone flyover shows new-look Santiago Bernabéu

After four years of work Real Madrid are nearly ready to officially unveil the renovated stadium and the first glimpses look spectacular.

The grand unveiling of Real Madrid’s renovated Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is drawing closer and the famous stadium will soon be open to fans once again.

Real Madrid’s General Assembly approved a €575 million credit loan back in 2018, which allowed work to begin in 2019. After losing time due to the disruption of the pandemic Madrid are nearing the end of the years-long process.

Ahead of the big event, incredible drone footage shows the new-look Bernabeu from an aerial view. The new structure feature a huge curved shell that gives it an imposing presence in the Spanish capital.

“The new stadium will continue to be the setting that generates the emotions which will leave their mark on Real Madrid’s future,” club president Florentino Pérez said of the new stadium.

“It’ll be the best stadium in the world in which to see us once again recognised at the end of the century as the best club of the 21st century.”
