Where can I watch the Baby Reindeer interview? Piers Morgan’s “sparring match” with Fiona Harvey

The real-life Martha from Netflix’s series “Baby Reindeer”, Fiona Harvey, will tell her side of the story in an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan.

Update:

The woman who inspired the character of Martha in Netflix’s hit series “Baby Reindeer” has revealed her true identity to the public for the first time. Piers Morgan revealed on X that he will do an exclusive interview with Fiona Harvey, who says she is the person on which the show is based.

The limited series is based on comedian Richard Gadd’s real-life experience with a stalker, who is called Martha in the series, played by actress Jessica Gunning. Gadd himself plays the character of Donny Dunn, the man based on himself. The series explores the complexities of the whole incident, portraying Martha not as a villain, but as a mentally ill, lost person who needs help. Gadd, both in the series and in real life, has exhaustively expressed that he played a role in the stalking, perhaps giving her too much attention at times and encouraging her at others. It brilliantly shows the gray areas of a traumatic event that had not yet been done in such a way. The show became an instant sensation. It was released on April 11 and has since been viewed 18.6 million times.

Despite Gadd’s wishes to protect the identity of the real Martha (he said that he and Netflix went to great lengths to not expose the real her), the internet did some stalking of its own. Gadd posted on Instagram asking the fans of the show not to speculate on the real people from the show. “That’s not the point of our show.” Unfortunately, the real Martha, 58-year-old Scottish lawyer Fiona Harvey, began to receive death threats. She will now look to “set the record straight” during her interview with Piers Morgan.

When and how to watch Piers Morgan’s interview with Fiona Harvey, the real Martha from “Baby Reindeer”

Piers Morgan’s interview with Fiona Harvey is titled “The Real Martha Uncensored” and will be streamed on his YouTube channel Piers Morgan Uncensored. He posted on X that the interview will air today, Thursday May 9 at 3 p.m. ET in the U.S., 8 p.m. in the UK. The interview is 30 minutes long and Harvey will openly discuss being outed as Gadd’s stalker.

Harvey says she was “set up” by Piers Morgan

Though Harvey came to “set the record straight”, after the filming, she spoke to the Daily Record and said Morgan called the interview a “sparring match”. She said she felt “set up” and “used” by Morgan, who asked her several questions about the emails she sent to Gadd.

“I wouldn’t say I was happy,” said Harvey. “It was very rapid to try to trip me up. He did it fast paced to catch me off guard.”

Harvey denied allegations that she was obsessed and in love with Gadd and denied stalking him. She is believed to have sent more than 40,000 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, 744 tweets, 46 Facebook messages, and 106 pages of letters to Gadd. Harvey says that Morgan focused heavily on that.

“Piers kept saying to me ‘are you sure you haven’t sent this guy 41,000 emails and phone calls?’. A lot of the interview, for a good 10 minutes, he kept coming back to this,” said Harvey. “I said, ‘Look, Even if I had sent some emails, it doesn’t mean I’m guilty of the rest of the stuff. As I said, in order to bill something as a true story, it’s got to be pretty much 100% true.”

Harvey said she is considering taking legal action against Gadd and Netflix for the portrayal of Martha. At the end of the show, Martha is sent to prison. In real life, she was given a police warning, but was never sent to prison or convicted for stalking. Gadd told the police he was being stalked by Harvey in 2017, when they issued a First Instance Harassment Warning.

Mixed reactions to Piers Morgan interview

Though the morbid curiosity to hear Harvey’s side of the story is strong, many have accused Piers Morgan of exploiting a mentally ill woman. Others expressed disappointment in Gadd and Netflix, saying they did not do enough to protect the identity of the real Martha.
