TSU investigates viral incident of tuba player throwing punches

During Texas Southern’s football game, a tuba player in the marching band was caught punching someone in a video that went viral with over 3 million views.

Texas Southern University’s football team played Jackson State on Saturday, but the video that went viral had nothing to do with the game. Instead, it was a tuba player in the marching band who everyone was talking about. During the game, the band member was caught on camera punching another person several times in the stands. The video quickly went viral with more than 3 million views already.

In the video, you can see a man agitating the tuba player who eventually punches him with the tuba still around his neck. The man then fell to the floor, and the band member just goes right back to playing the tuba. TSU is now investigating the incident, releasing this statement: “Texas Southern University is aware of an incident involving a member of the Ocean of Soul marching band during a recent away game. The incident is under investigation. The University is implementing additional measures to ensure the safety of all band members during performances.”
