The tango, or rather the eyeing from across the dance floor, has had everyone wondering for literally years when the two will finally stand up and hold hands together in public for the first time, with whispers and rumours and fluttering eyelashes gripping firmly onto the media cycle and not letting go.

And now, in the latest development, fans in white shirts have been allowed to dream as a video of Mbappé has emerged in which he is talking to Neymar. Benign, you may think. But what are they talking about? And what gesture does Mbappé make? Some say it’s his hand thumping his palm in reference to the great, big, whopping (and quite hilariously named) loyalty bonus he’s about to receive from PSG, while others think it’s not as direct as that.
