Cristiano admits hectic schedule hampered Madrid's pre-season

Sensations: "The team’s working really well, in the last three weeks you can see the results of that out on the pitch".

Changes under Zidane: "We still need to be working more – me and the whole team. Now we have a positive mentality. The pre-season wasn’t good – we did too much travelling. Zizou arrived with a different idea and we have to continue as we have been doing".

The game: "We played well and won the game. The team relaxed once we had a big advantage and we felt good out there. Against Betis, it was a more intense game. Today we slowed the rhythm down but played well".

Goals: "I’m very happy for the goals but happier for the team; goals will come naturally".

Position in the table: "We shouldn’t be thinking about Barcelona or Atleti; they are both playing well. We have more work to do, we’re a little off the pace but we’ll see at the end of the season".

Tougher rivals coming up: "We’ll see what happens when those matches arrive, there are no easy rivals, I don’t believe there is any such thing as easy games".
