Karim Benzema now has 23 goals in 22 Real Madrid appearances this season, and has scored in every game played by Los Blancos in 2016.

The Frenchman's goal in Sunday night's 2-1 La Liga victory over Granada means he has found the net eight times in Real's half a dozen fixtures since the turn of the year, and saw him break a personal record: he had never before been on target in six consecutive Madrid matches.

Benzema climbs to 19 goals in the Spanish top flight this term, one behind the division's current leading scorer, Barcelona's Luis Suárez.

His strike at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes also lifted his total since joining Real to 156 in 303 games, in the process allowing him to overtake Amancio on 155 and claim tenth place outright in the Bernabéu club's list of all-time marksmen.
