Next week, the Social Security Administration is to send out the latest monthly benefits on its schedule for July 2026.

Social Security is being paid out on Wednesday, July 15: who benefits?

In the U.S., certain recipients of Social Security benefits are due to get their latest monthly money next week, as the Social Security Administration (SSA) continues its three-Wednesdays payment cycle for July 2026.
Who gets Social Security on Wednesday, July 15?
Of the 71.3 million Social Security beneficiaries in the U.S., many are paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in each month, depending on their date of birth.
July 15 is this month’s third Wednesday, so Social Security benefits are to be sent out to recipients born between the 11th and 20th of any month.
The complete three-Wednesdays schedule for July 2026 is:
- Born on 1st-10th of any month: Wednesday, July 8
- Born on 11th-20th of any month: Wednesday, July 15
- Born on 21st-31st of any month: Wednesday, July 22
NB: If you receive Social Security benefits based on someone else’s work record, the SSA uses the other person’s date of birth.
What other Social Security payment dates are there in July 2026?
- July 2: Social Security paid to some long-term recipients
Beneficiaries who began receiving their Social Security benefits before May 1997 were issued July’s money on Thursday 2, regardless of their birthday.
- July 2: Social Security paid to recipients also on SSI
July 2 was this month’s Social Security payment date for beneficiaries who combine the program with Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a benefit for certain low-income Americans. July’s SSI went out the previous day.
Social Security is typically paid to the above long-term and dual recipients on the third of the month, but payment was made 24 hours early because July 3 was a federal holiday.
How much are Social Security benefits?
- Retirement: $2,029.92/month
- Disability: $1,496.16/month
- Survivor: $1,631.39/month
(Average benefit, per stats published by the SSA.)
