No other Madrid player has scored more goals against the Bilbaínos than Cristiano; Raúl, Puskás and Hugo Sánchez scored 11 goals each.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more goals than any other Real Madrid player against Athletic Club in league competition. His tally stands at 14 goals in 13 meetings with the Bilbaínos - way ahead of the three players who are next on the list - Raúl, Hugo Sánchez and Puskás, ended their time at Madrrid having put 11 goals past the Basque side: Puskás and Hugo in 12 games and Raúl, in 27.
No other player is capable of taming Los Leones like Cristiano. He has scored against them, either at the Bernabéu or at San Mamés, in each of the seasons he has spent in Spain. This season, he wan't on the score sheet in the 1-2 win in Bilbao but he will be trying to put that right when the two sides meet this afternoon in the capital.
Recently, Cristiano has been more prolific at home than on the road - in contrast to previous seasons. Out of the 30 goals he's scored this term, 19 have been at the Bernabéu.
