"We were fantastic at Rayo; I thought we were better today"
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was pleased with his side's performance but still preached caution: "We're not getting ourselves."
Reaction: “Last Thursday, against Rayo, I thought we played fantastic football and today I think we were even better. We were strong in every aspect and I told the players that at half time. We were by far the better team, pragmatic in front of their goal and quick on the ball.”
Final stretch of season: “We are where we are because of the work we’ve put in. The decisive period is coming up and we’re playing for three titles. There are a lot of points still in play. We’ve seen the team evolve and always maintain their ambition, and the sensations at the moment are very positive.”
Messi goal: “Everything went well for us. We were able to withstand their high pressure, when they sat back etc… We’re playing well in every area and in every game. The players that came in did very well.”
Munir: “He looked good to me. It’s not easy for a kid who doesn’t play very much to come in a do everything well. He has a great future and it’s not easy to do what he did, playing so little but giving us everything today, including a goal.”
League: “It doesn’t worry us at the moment. We talked about it on the bench, that this is a very difficult ground to come to. We’re not worried because this is what the players like to do; they like to be in competitive situations and they want to win. That’s a characteristic this squad has. In football you never know how your team’s going to be or your opponent’s. The league is won when mathematically it can’t be taken away from you. We’re not getting ahead of ourselves with all this talk of the league being won.”
