Pulisic drops fitness update ahead of Bosnia clash
The USMNT winger spoke about his fitness in the hours leading up to the game.

USMNT star Christian Pulisic has spoken about his fitness ahead of the World Cup Round of 32 game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ahead of time, questions have been raised about the player’s physical status as he recovers from a niggling calf injury that has reduced his minutes at the tournament.
Will Christian Pulisic play against Bosnia?
However, things are looking up, according to the player.
“I felt great in the game, the last game against Türkiye,” Pulisic revealed to reporters ahead of to Tuesday’s session. “So [I’m] feeling good this week and yeah, I’m definitely ready to go for [Wednesday].
“We’re ready for this moment,” he revealed when asked about his specific thoughts on playing against Bosnia & Herzegovina. “I think we’ve had some good performances this World Cup, and having that experience last time definitely can allow us to go into this just a little bit of a clear mind, and just more prepared for sure.”

“We haven’t been in many shootouts”
On penalties, which have been a huge talking point given the drama involving the progress of both Morocco and Paraguay, Pulisic said: “It’s an extremely hard thing to do for sure ... so the people that go up and shoot takes a lot of courage and it’s not easy. Goalkeepers get better and better every single year. Yeah, I think everyone has their individual style and you just go with what you feel most confident.”
As for who may step up for the USA should they need it, he admitted that it would be “the guys who feel the most confident to go up and shoot will want to go shoot. I think that’s normal,” he said. “There’ll be some players that maybe don’t want to as much and don’t feel as good. I don’t think it’s necessarily a big problem. We haven’t been in many shootouts with these guys, but I feel it’s pretty brave courageous team. I feel like guys will give it a go.”
