Bale and Benzema celebrate brilliant performance
With the BBC back, Real Madrid blew Sevilla away, Bale, Benzema and Cristiano all getting on the scoresheet and Jesé finishing it off with the fourth from the bench.
Bale sped down the right wing with the game barely out of the grid, and crossed for Benzema to strike first-time into the top corner. It was a goal of pure class that once again revealed Karim's killer instinct in front of goal, and the threat that the Cardiff Express carries out wide.
Bale has been deployed by Zidane on the wing, last night he started on the right with Cristiano on the left and Benzema central, back to Ancelotti's formula rather than Benítez' idea of Cristiano playing as a central striker with Bale behind him in the playmaker's role.
Despite Bale's own desire to play in the hole, it's clear that he's at his most devastating with space to run into, he tormented Sevilla, drove in cross after cross, and was pure danger every time he received the ball. From the right Bale can deliver for teammates, or cut inside and unleash that left-foot hammer, frquently switching wings with Ronaldo.
The match against Sevilla on Sunday night was possibly Real Madrid's most exhilirating performance of the season, and madridistas are getting excited about the possibility of doing the Undécima.
Gareth Bale celebrated the win on his social media account like this:
Benzema was also delighted with his scoring return to the side, saying "Happy to be back in front of the Bernabéu with this brilliant support!"
