Koke: "We're certain we'll come out on top against Barça"
The Atlético midfielder said his side are confident of overturning a 2-1 deficit from the first leg when Barcelona visit in the Champions League
Koke said after Atlético’s 3-1 win over Espanyol in Cornellá that the victory would be a morale boost for Wednesday’s return leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona. “The Calderón will be jumping.”
Second place: “We started off with a blow and knew how to respond to that. We’re still up there and we’re applying pressure on Barcelona.”
Espanyol: “Espanyol are a great team at home, they are a strong side and it’s a really important win for us ahead of Wednesday. The Calderón will be jumping and it will a beautiful night.”
Confident of comeback: “Yes, of course, the team is preparing for it mentally and the other day in Barcelona we didn’t win because of circumstances. But we are certain we’ll come out on top.”
