Yaya Touré unable to play Champions League match against Real Madrid
The Ivorian midfielder picked up a knock against Stoke and will miss the first leg against los blancos as a result. Kompany and Silva are back to full fitness though.
Manuel Pellegrini took the opportunity to rest some of his players on Saturday for Man City's game against Stoke City. De Bruyne, Clichy, Fernandinho, Sagna and Kompany all sat out the 4-0 league win over the Potters.
Kompany, who made his return against Newcastle on 19 April after a month out sidelined, and David Silva appear to be back to full fitness. All being well both of them should be available to face Real Madrid tomorrow.
The Chilean manager was also able to keep Kun Agüero, Silva and Fernando wrapped in cotton wool against Mark Hughes’ men. The bad news for the Sky Blues though is that Yaya Touré had to hobble off the pitch on the weekend with an injury and was unable to train this morning. The Ivorian midfielder will miss the semi-final first leg against los blancos.
