Javi Navarro’s three stunning saves against PSG send Real Madrid into the final
Real Madrid are through to the Youth League final thanks to a remarkable performance from Javi Navarro, who made key saves during the match and stopped three penalties in the shootout.

Real Madrid are one step from glory after edging past PSG in a dramatic Youth League semifinal in Lausanne, decided on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Álvaro López’s side controlled large spells but were punished midway through the first half when Elijah Ly produced a superb curling strike from the edge of the box to give the French side the lead.
Madrid’s chances against PSG
Madrid had chances through Yáñez, Ciria and Jacobo, but lacked the finishing touch, while PSG continued to threaten on the break. Javi Navarro proved crucial in keeping the deficit at one, denying Ly a second goal with a sharp stop as Madrid regrouped. The equalizer finally arrived in the 83rd minute, when a loose ball in the box fell to Liberto, who kept his composure to make it 1-1 and force a shootout.
Navarro the hero for Real Madrid
That’s where Navarro took over. The Real Madrid goalkeeper saved three penalties in the shootout, turning the tie on its head after misses from Ciria and Carlos Díez had put his side under pressure. Madrid went on to win 5-4 from the spot, sealing their place in the final after a night defined by resilience and a decisive performance from their goalkeeper.
Real Madrid will face Club Brugge, who beat Benfica 3-1, in the final on Monday at 12:45 ET.
