Cristiano and Benzema train as normal, no problems
All of the 23 players which Zinedine Zidane took to Manchester, including Cristiano and Benzema, trained as normal without any problems at the Etihad.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema trained as normal with the rest of the Real Madrid squad in Monday's training session at the Etihad stadium in Manchester. Watching the workout was club president Florentino Pérez. In line with tournament regulations, just the first 15 minutes of the session were open to the international media.
All of the 23 players which Zinedine Zidane took to Manchester trained as normal without any problems at the Etihad. The three goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla and Rubén Yáñez trained apart at the north end of the stadium. Lucas Vázquez had to be attended by club medical staff during the 15 minutes open to the press but was avble to rejoin the squad for the rest of the session. The players started a mini-practice match on a reduced pitch before Zidane and his team concluded the workout in private.
Dani Carvajal appears to have completely recovered from the knock which kept him out of the last two league games and looks certain to start tomorrow, as do Madrid's 'BBC' frontline: Bale, Benzema and Cristiano.
