Demand outstrips supply as Leicester City run out of kit

Premier League leaders Leicester City are in uncharted territory. With Claudio Ranieri's men already guaranteed Champions League football next season the club are just three points from winning the league title for the first time in the Foxes 132 years of existence and in doing so, creating one of the most incredible sporting stories in the history of the modern game.

It's not just on the pitch where the club are in uncharted waters, off the field staff at Leicester City have been overwhelmed with world-wide interest and requests linked in with the incredible success this season. Even the club shop have been unable to meet global demand for replica kit with home shirts unavailable for over a month. "We've seen unprecedented demand for our shirts from around the world" claimed a shop representative and with the launch of the 2016/17 expected next week trying to secure one of the current season shirts is proving an impossible task. 

A search on the official Leicester City club shop, LCFC Direct proves a frustrating experience for anyone hoping to secure the famous blue shirt. "Sorry product not found" is the pop-up message for the would be buyer.
