Marcelo celebrates a decade at the Bernabeu

To coincide with his 10 year anniversary at Real Madrid, we look back at his ten years at the club from his signing from Fluminense to modern day.

On November 14 at just 18 years of age Marcelo signed for Real Madrid. The club president at the time was Ramón Calderón'.
Marcelo moved to Madrid from Brazilian side Fluminense and was touted as the "new Roberto Carlos"'.
The Brazilian had a discreet season in his first year in Spain but under Fabio Capello managed to win his first Liga title in 2006-2007.
Marcelo claimed the LaLiga title in 2006-2007.

In his second season under Schuster, Marcelo secured more playing time as Roberto Carlos moved to Fenerbahce.
The defender failed to claim any silverware in the 2008-2009 campaign.
Under Juande Ramos, Marcelo scored his debut goal for Madrid bagging one of the goals as part of a 0-4 win at El Molinón against Sporting Gijón. He would go onto score three goals in the 08/09 season.

Marcelo and Cristiano have always maintained an excellent relationship at the club.
It was Manuel Pellegrini who started using the Brazilian as the club's established left back.
