Ginola tweets message after reportedly suffering heart attack
The former footballer took to social media to confirm he was "having some tests" after apparently collapsing in France.
Former footballer David Ginola confirmed on Thursday that he was undergoing tests after taking ill in southeastern France.
Reports in the French media said Ginola had suffered a suspected heart attack while playing football in Mandelieu, located near Cannes.
According to Nice Matin, the 49-year-old was transferred to the Princess Grace Hospital Centre in Monaco after collapsing at the Mandelieu football stadium.
The publication stated that the ex-France international was "unconscious but stable".
Later on Thursday, Ginola wrote on his Twitter account: "Footy match in the midday sun, not very clever. Now having some tests done."
The one-time Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur man also quipped: "Whoever voted for a World Cup in Qatar in the summer?"
