Atlético train away from prying eyes at the Calderón
Atlético have battened down the hatches at their stadium, preparing for the final in seclusion and complete private; Simeone has all his squad fit apart from Jesús Gámez.
It was all quit on the Western from in and around the Vicente Calderón - there was hardly a soul near the stadium and only a few inside, where since 10:30 this morning, Atlético have been toiling away with just one thought on their minds - Milan. Simeone, with all of his players available apart from Jesús Gámez who is recovering from muscular twinges, looked himself and the squad away to prepare in total seclusion for Saturday's Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The Calderón has been completely padlocked, there are no crooks or crannies to get a peak of the training session, no leaks to the media, hardly anyone at all in the stands, apart from four family members/close friends. The squad worked out for approximately two hours.
Once the session had ended, the players will remain at the ground - there they will lunch together - a team-bonding, morale-enhancing exercise - just like they did last week at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
