Update:

Morocco arrives at the 2026 World Cup carrying the weight of expectation after its historic run to the semifinals in Qatar four years ago. The Atlas Lions enter the tournament under new head coach Mohamed Ouahbi, who was appointed just months before the competition and has been tasked with blending an experienced core led by Achraf Hakimi and Sofyan Amrabat with a new generation of emerging talent.

Drawn into a challenging Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland and Haiti, Morocco will once again aim to establish itself as Africa’s leading contender on the world stage. With proven stars, exciting young prospects and memories of their breakthrough 2022 campaign still fresh, the Atlas Lions have the quality to believe another deep tournament run is within reach. Their clash with the kilted clan could potentially be defining.
