Dani Alves, 33, will leave Barcelona on a free transfer to join Juventus on a three-year contract, he'll leave the Catalonian city on June 30 to sign for the Old Lady, as reported on Spain's Cadena Ser.

The player was under contract at Barça until June 2017, but will join the Italian champions free of charge and stay for three seasons.

Alves was close to leaving Barça last year, the player himself suggested that he wouldn't reach an agreement with the club, but with interest from Manchester United and other big European names, he signed a two-year extension days later.

On his journey to Turin, he may be accompanied by Javier Mascherano who is not one hundred percent pleased at the Catalan giants, but his is a very different case, the club declaring him non-transferable.

Alves arrived at Barca in the 2008-2009 season from Sevilla for €20M, the blaugrana club are letting him go to ease the pressure on the balance sheet from the first-team wage bill. Arsenal's Hector bellerín is being touted as one possible replacement, but Barça already have Douglas and Aleix Vidal in the squad.

Alves has been spectacularly successful at the azulgrana club, lifting 22 trophies, putting him on the podium of heavily decorated players with a personal tally of 31 trophies - the third most one single player has ever won - more, even, than Pele.
