Bale breaks fan's nose with wayward shot in the warm-up
A shot by the Welsh forward accidentally ended in the stands, hitting a fan who had been watching the warm-up in the face.
The anecdote of Wales' opening Euro 2016 meeting against Slovakia happened when the two teams were out on the pitch warming up at the Matmut Atlantique stadium in Bordeaux. Gareth Bale accidentally broke the nose of a Wales fan who had been watching the players limber up on the sidelines. A shot by the Real Madrid forward struck the fan slap in the face, causing a nasal fracture and a lot of blood. Bale realized what had happened and quickly made his over way to the unfortunate spectator to aplogise.
