There are not many omissions in Messi’s honors list but there are a few. Starting with the MLS Cup title, which must be high up on his list of priorities. Inter Miami have landed in Group A alongside Porto, Palmeiras and Al Ahly - with the top two teams advancing to the Last 16 where possible rivals include PSG, Atlético Madrid, Botafogo and the Seattle Sounders. The 2025 Club World Cup is arguably the most important competition that Messi and Co. will take part in next year and by far the toughest to win. The final will be played at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford on 13 July.
Just a couple of weeks after the Club World Cup reaches its conclusion, Inter Miami will begin their Leagues Cup campaign. The tournament, which pits MLS teams against teams from Mexico’s Liga MX, starts on 29 July and runs until 31 August. The full fixtures calendar will be announced in the New Year.
