Löw lauds Spain who "always show class - even in defeat"
The reigning world champions have come under fire for their draw against Poland, weaknesses at the back and lack of efficiency in attackEngland vs Spain
Germany coach Joachim Löw was full of praise for the attractive brand of football which Spain have been showing at Euro 2016 - and not just in last night's game against Turkey, but for the way La Roja have performed during the past seven or eight years.
"Spain have a lot of class in their team, and it's always been that way - not just yesterday... In 2014 they ended up being eliminated, but even then their style of play was firstclass", Löw said today from the team's base in Evian.
The coach also complimented Spain for their great versatility, "They apply that style of football to great effect", he said but added that it would be difficult for his team take a leaf out of Spain's book as both have completely different styles. "Barcelona play like Spain, but Real Madrid employ a similar style but in a different way".
Löw's Germany side are preparing for their final group game against Northern Ireland on Tuesday amid fierce criticism from the German press. The reigning world champions have come under fire for their goalless draw against Poland, their apparent frailties in defence and a lack of incisiveness in attack.
