Chelsea striker Diego Costa took to social media to post a photograph of himself alongside several team-mates after his side's pre-season win over Liverpool on Thursday.
Costa was not involved for the Blues as Gary Cahill scored the only goal in Pasadena, in a game that saw Cesc Fàbregas sent off with 20 minutes remaining.
Goodbye message?
And it would have been just another post-match celebratory snap - were it not for the words accompanying the Instagram image.

In a message that could be interpreted as a Chelsea farewell, the 27-year-old - strongly linked with a return to Atlético Madrid - wrote: "Thank you very much for all my friends!!!"

AS revealed on Wednesday that Costa, believed to be very keen to re-join Atlético, has asked Calderón boss Diego Simeone for patience in the club's bid to sign him.
