The full fixture list for the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League group stage has been confirmed following the draw that took place in Monaco this evening.
Current holders Real Madrid will start the defence of their title with a home tie at the Santiago Bernabeu on September 14 against Portuguese outfit Sporting Clube de Portugal. A game that will certainly be nostalgic for Cristiano Ronaldo having played in Sporting's youth set-up before sealing a move to Manchester United in 2003.
Barcelona open their campaign at Camp Nou on Tuesday September 13 as Brendan Rodgers brings his "Bhoys" to the Catalan capital for the opening game in Group C.
Both Atletico and Sevilla face tough opening ties as they get their campaign started. Cholo and Atletico travel to Eindhoven. Last years game between both sides at the Philips Stadion ended in a 0-0 draw. Sevilla also face last year's group opposition in the form of Italian Champions Juventus in Turin on September 14.
The fixtures will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, commencing on September 13-14 and again on September 27-28, October 18-19, November 1, 2, 22 and 23, and finally on December 6-7.
